Grief PictureThe process of grieving is one that has no clear cut beginning or ending. People may grieve their entire lives over one thing or another. The discovery of a terminal diagnosis begins a new process of grieving in the lives of a patient and their family.

Our staff is trained in grief-work and know how to facilitate the grieving process for patients and their loved ones. The therapeutic milieu—which Lighthouse Hospice enables amid care—is one that can bring healing to families who are struggling to put the pieces of their lives together.

Supporting the work that a family chooses to do is a core value that we hold dear. From the Personal Care Assistants, to the Clinical Workers, including the Volunteers and Office Personnel the Lighthouse Hospice staff is committed to helping families achieve what goals they are naturally able to achieve and offer assistance in growing into ways which may not come naturally, but may be learned.
